Here is a poem I wrote for the Poem a Day Challenge. I based it on my cloud pictures as per the prompt for Poetic Asides at http://www.writersdigest.com

Fluffy White Clouds

The sky is so big.
Clouds fill the space,
so tiny humans
don't feel so small.
-Rita

Now it's your turn. Write a poem based on my cloud pictures. Though I would like to see your poem, you can write it just for yourself.

Happy Birthday to me... Yes, it is my birthday! Yes, I am in my forties and I still celebrate this momentous occasion.

This year I am missing my sister. We always celebrate together. When we were younger we were forced to do so. As we grew older and more distant (location wise) it has become tradition.

I will not be able to make it to Chilli town and she may not be able to make it to Y city. Before you ask we are a year and three days apart. (Mine on the 25th and hers on the 28th.) Maybe, my brother and sister will make it here so we can celebrate sometime this week or next. I will wait and see.

So today I celebrate this day for my parents who created me, my brother and sister who grew up with me and my husband who loves me. RS
