Book Review: Parellel Lines by Laura Moe

Parallel Lines by Laura Moe takes us on a journey as Nick grows from a punk kid with no future into a young adult with a more promising outlook on life. It is an emotionally charged look at teenagedom through a teens diary interspersed into the story. The story shows how one teacher can make a difference and how once Nick begins opening up to her (Mrs. C.) he opens himself up to others.

I enjoyed this YA novel immensely and recommend it to others especially teenagers. Although I left childhood behind many years ago I could identify with Nick as will any reader.
