When I arrived home Wednesday evening, a turkey vulture was sitting in front of my garage. It must have been a young one, because it was smallish and didn't fly off when I slammed my car door. Wouldn't you know that my camera battery was dead, so I couldn't take its picture. I called my husband to come outside to see this spectacle. A few minutes after he came out the bird took flight only to land on the neighbors roof. Ken and I went inside. A few minutes later the dogs wanted out and the vulture was gone. The neighbors who were just returning home missed it.
